E-scooters and dirt bikes on police list of unclaimed items stolen in Southend
BIKES, e-scooters and even a dirt bike are all on Essex Police’s list of stolen Southend items yet to be returned to their original owners.
The force is appealing for those who have been the victim of a bike, e-bike, e-scooter or dirt bike theft over the last sixth months to come forward.
It comes after other stolen items were recovered and reunited with their owners following the arrest of a man linked to a number of residential burglaries in the city.

In addition to a dirt bike, bikes from brands such as Pinnacle, Hitway, Orbea and Wisper are all currently being held by police.
The force has asked any Southend residents who believe the items may be theirs, to get in touch.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “Officers who uncovered a number of bikes, e-bikes, e-scooters and a dirt bike which they believe have been stolen have now identified several owners.
“However a number of items have still not been claimed and we are again asking people to come forward if they have been the victim of a bike, e-bike, e-scooter or dirt bike theft over the last six months in Southend.
“We want to make sure those people who come forward to claim the items are indeed the rightful owners so when getting in touch, we will need an image or a catalogue image of your lost or stolen item – including the true colours of the specific item if using a catalogue image, and a description of any modifications made or distinguishing marks.
“These details are required to give us the best possible chance to reunite people with their items.”
You can get in touch with Essex police by sending an email to [email protected] and [email protected].
A spokesperson for the force said that only messages which have all the required detail will be responded to.
